Surge In Mobile Ad Formats



Advancements in the technology have made smart phones cheaper to such an extent that almost everyone owns it. Smartphone market is growing at a large scale. This has also resulted to increased number internet users. Even if one owns a laptop or desktop, smart phone is the preferred choice to access the internet. Be it shopping send or receive e-mail or surfing through the websites, smart phone are more convenient and handy. 
 
Google has confirmed that mobile search has surpassed the desktop or tablet search in ten countries which also includes US and Japan. Mobile’s share of web sessions has increased by 20% in the past year. Search like “near me” have doubled up in the last year, 80% of which comes from mobile. These are some of the changes that have come up in the last year.

As a result of these changes several new mobile ad formats have come up. Sectors like automotive, hotel and insurance and mortgage have got new mobile centric ads. In automotive ads one can find images of car interior and exterior and the link for the nearby car dealers for contact. In case of hotel ad update, it features “Book a room” ad Comparing car insurance; loans, etc. also feature in the mobile ads. 

Call only ads can also be seen nowadays clicking upon which a call is made to the respective dealer.  Nearby businesses are also displayed as ads. When it is clicked and the search is made it shows the location as well as the direction. 

The above mentioned are some of the examples of sectors which have come strongly in the mobile centric ads. It is a very large field to be explored as well as one of the most effective way to market and reach to a greater mass.
