Google’s Latest Update: How Quality is assessed and Rankings are affected

It is not always that Google keeps on tweaking its search algorithms. And when it does, the entire market wait with much anticipation as it is difficult to predict what is in store and how the search giant is going to bend the rules. Many search marketers had started noticing or anticipating some major changes since last month onwards. And Google did not disappoint them. Finally it admitted that some changes have been made to the algorithm, particularly to the sector of “Quality Content”.

This change is not imaginary- it has taken place for real. If you find it hard to believe, you need to go and check out. Google Results have been impacted following the confirmation of this change. And mind it, this change is no ordinary one- it has taken place in the core algorithm itself. This is not a Panda related update or change for sure. So, the way of understanding it and taking measures likewise should be different, the approach has to be unique.

Google is yet to completely reveal or explain in broad terms what changes have been incorporated in real time; but it has ensured that it is not any spam-related update. It has also expressed that this change is in terms of how Quality Signals will be processed. Specifics are yet to be divulged on how it will assess the quality. But it is time for everyone to alert themselves and be concerned really about the standard of content on any particular page of site. Some factors have to be taken into consideration while preparing a roadmap for the same.

Plans to Handle It:

Google will update more on the recent change and we have been waiting eagerly for its new update. But at the same time, we have been analyzing and calculating and re-calculating to find the best possible roadmap to tackle the surprise! Of all the key ranking factors that we have been working with so far successfully, yet another important factor has been added and we are sure, it will certainly impact how the pages have been ranking so far.

This change has left most of the SEO people awestruck as it hasn’t been released with prior and amidst loud announcements. It came off silently. This “quality update” will definitely impact search results henceforth and also improve user experience.

Quality is the Key:

Now, you no longer can ignore the quotient or standard of your content. Webmasters have been looking for more and specific updates on the same, but one thing is for sure that all poorly developed content and relevant websites’ rankings will be lost into oblivion pretty soon. Webmasters and SEO experts must brace their seatbelts and get on with the high quality-thrive if they do not want to see their rankings “hit” badly by this update.

It is predicted that the mammoth search engine will now scan and implement changes on a page by page level. It is good news for the people who are serious about the quality of their content and have been focusing on great content. Unlike Panda, which are on site-levels, it will be page level monitoring.

So where do you want to be? Do you want to be someone who is going to stand there and see your site getting affected or are you going to be proactive and implement some changes to recover and improve the same? Well, we are ready to step up and upgrade ourselves, are you?
